1inch Launches Aqua Liquidity Layer on 13 Chains to Target $1.6 Billion in Idle DEX Capital
1inch launched Aqua, a self-custodial liquidity layer that lets providers back multiple positions using a single wallet balance without locking funds into separate pools. The protocol caps trading exposure at the actual assets held and allows users to retain tokens until a swap fills.
The launch went live across 13 EVM networks. Dune Analytics research commissioned by the company pegged approximately $1.6 billion in concentrated exchange trading liquidity as idle in the first half of 2026, an efficiency gap that Aqua aims to capture.
