TSMC is constructing its first 1.4-nanometer semiconductor fabrication plant in central Taiwan, with the facility scheduled for completion by April 2027. Construction is already ahead of schedule, with initial piling work finished and building work underway on the central utility plant and office facilities.
The company has awarded contracts for the first two of four planned fabs to Dacin Construction and Fu Tsu Construction. Media reports citing the Central Taiwan Science Park director general detail the progress, noting construction is proceeding despite summer heat.
