IonQ receives final regulatory approval to complete its acquisition of Skywater Technology, the largest exclusively U.S.-based semiconductor foundry. The transaction gives the quantum computing firm direct control over chip manufacturing.
The combination establishes what the company describes as the only vertically integrated, full-stack quantum platform business. Skywater Technology will continue to serve customers as a U.S.-based semiconductor foundry.
