Black Sea Terminal Resumes Kazakhstan Oil Export Loadings, Ending Production Cut to 1 Million Barrels Daily
The Caspian Pipeline Consortium terminal near Novorossiysk resumed crude oil loadings on Monday, ending a one-week stoppage triggered by drone attacks on tankers. The outage forced Kazakhstan, among the world’s top 10 oil producers, to cut daily output to approximately 1 million barrels per day from an average of 2.16 million bpd.
Chevron’s Tengizchevroil venture loaded tankers at the facility on Monday. The terminal manages more than 80% of Kazakhstan’s oil exports, prompting shipowners to resume calls to the port after initially delaying bookings due to recent Black Sea strikes.
