McConnell Misses 37th Senate Vote As Beshear Calls For Health Disclosure Or Resignation
McConnell’s office released a new photo and a physician statement confirming the senator remains in a rehabilitation facility and is not medically cleared to return to the Senate floor, bringing his missed vote total to 37 since his June hospitalization.
Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear responded to the announcement by sending a letter to McConnell, calling for a full health disclosure or a resignation. Beshear cited the senator's 43-day public absence and expressed skepticism that the newly released photographs accurately reflect his recovery.
