Libyan Movement Threatens Oil Shutdowns To Oust Tripoli Government, Taking 370,000 BPD Offline
The Sons of Souq al-Jum’ah Movement said it would mobilize participants within hours to shut down several Libyan oil and gas facilities in a bid to topple the UN-recognized government in Tripoli.
Fezzan tribesmen previously blocked exports at the El-Feel and Sharara fields, taking roughly 370,000 BPD offline. Libya’s oil production recently recovered to 1.5 mm BPD, and the movement stated it has no known ties to Iran.
