President Trump visited General Motors in Michigan to highlight the automaker’s $6 billion investment in U.S. manufacturing, which includes a major expansion at its Orion Township assembly plant and plans to continue onshoring significant production.
During the visit, Trump met with General Motors CEO Mary Barra and President Mark Reuss, announcing a 25% tariff on foreign-built trucks that exempts vehicles produced in the United States.
