Coinbase Q2 Revenue Falls to $1.22 Billion, Missing Estimates on Trading Volume Slump
Coinbase reported $1.22 billion in second-quarter revenue, missing analyst estimates of $1.29 billion and posting a net loss of $359 million, while transaction revenue fell 21% to $599 million and subscription services revenue declined to $555 million.
The results triggered a 7% drop in shares immediately after market close. Despite the revenue shortfall and a 14% quarterly decline, the company reported a record 10.3% share of global crypto trading volume for a third consecutive quarter and noted that prediction markets revenue more than doubled, rising 106% quarter over quarter.
