SpaceX Shares Fall 20% Below IPO Price, Erasing $1.2 Trillion in Market Value
SpaceX shares fell more than 20% below the company’s initial public offering price on Tuesday, wiping $1.2 trillion from its peak market capitalization.
The stock extended a 3.4% premarket decline after opening on the exchange, following the June 16 trading peak. The valuation drop equals the entire market capitalization of Tesla, according to multiple market trackers. SPCX has continued to trade lower through the morning session.
