Mastercard Beats Earnings Estimates as Revenue Hits $9.3 Billion on Cross-Border Volume Growth
Mastercard beat second-quarter earnings and revenue estimates, reporting adjusted profit of $5.04 a share and net revenue of $9.3 billion, surpassing analyst forecasts on stronger-than-expected purchase volume.
The company posted 14% year-over-year revenue growth, or 12% on a currency-neutral basis, and provided guidance for third-quarter operating expense growth in the high single digits. Shares rose 1% in extended trading.
