ADNOC Approves $6.2 Billion Umm Shaif Gas Expansion to Cover 10% of UAE Demand
Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. approved a $6.2 billion final investment decision to expand the Umm Shaif gas cap project. The development will be executed with partners including TotalEnergies, Eni and China National Petroleum Corp.
Production is expected to start in 2030, adding enough capacity to cover about 10% of current UAE gas consumption. The investment is the company’s latest push to increase supply as it anticipates continued growth in natural gas demand.
