Greer Seeks Interim Canada and Mexico Deals, Defers USMCA Changes to 2027
U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said the U.S. hopes to strike interim trade deals with Canada and Mexico this year and tackle thornier changes to the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement in 2027, indicating the pact will not be renewed this year. Greer told senators USMCA talks will likely stretch into 2027.
