Judge Extends Block On Paramount Warner Bros. Discovery Merger Through Aug. 17
A federal judge extended the temporary restraining order blocking Paramount’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery by two weeks, extending the pause through Aug. 17 to allow more time for resolving preliminary injunction requests.
The judge ordered both companies to schedule a multi-day evidentiary hearing, which Paramount is pursuing for the week of Aug. 17 or 24. The ruling requires Paramount to keep the merger paused while the parties determine the final hearing date.
