Gulf nations have issued a record $112 billion in sovereign bonds year-to-date, marking the highest fundraising total for this time of the year.

Bond sales have more than tripled since 2022 to finance Red Sea and Gulf of Oman ports, pipeline repairs and road networks designed to reduce reliance on the Strait of Hormuz. Investor demand remains strong, with Kuwait raising $6.0 billion last week against $14.8 billion in investor orders.
