SAP Cloud Revenue Beats Estimates as Backlog Hits €22.9 Billion
SAP beat second-quarter revenue and cloud software forecasts, posting sales of €9.88 billion and cloud revenue of €6.28 billion, while non-IFRS earnings per share of €1.59 missed analyst estimates.
The software maker reported a current cloud backlog of €22.9 billion, rising 27% year over year, as customers migrate from legacy on-premises licenses ahead of a support deadline. The company also reaffirmed its full-year cloud revenue forecast.
