China Bans Exports of Dual-Use Items to 14 EU Entities After Brussels Sanctions Chinese Firms
China placed 14 European Union entities on an export-control list on July 24, prohibiting domestic sellers from transferring dual-use items to the listed groups. The listing also bars overseas organizations and individuals from supplying China-origin dual-use goods to the affected companies.
The move follows the EU’s approval of its 21st sanctions package against Russia on July 23, which added 14 mainland Chinese and Hong Kong firms to its restrictive lists. Beijing cited national security and non-proliferation obligations in its announcement, mirroring European restrictions on the same class of goods.
