Charles Schwab Beats Q2 Estimates On Record $119.8 Billion Client Asset Inflow
Charles Schwab reported adjusted earnings of $1.62 a share in the second quarter, beating estimates of $1.55, with revenue of $7.07 billion surpassing forecasts of $6.92 billion. Core net new assets rose 49% to $119.8 billion, driven by a record $62.7 billion in net inflows during June.
Client cash holdings fell to a record low of 9% of total assets, reflecting a broader shift into invested markets. Daily average trades reached a record 11.9 million, up 57% year over year, while new brokerage accounts expanded to 1.4 million. The company also launched direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading through Schwab Crypto and introduced a generative AI tool for portfolio analysis.
