Fluidstack Raises $830 Million at $7.5 Billion Valuation to Build Gigawatt Data Centers for Anthropic
Fluidstack raised an $830 million Series A round at a $7.5 billion valuation, led by Situational Awareness, the investment fund managed by AI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner. The capital will finance the construction of gigawatt-scale data centers designed to rapidly deploy computing infrastructure for frontier artificial intelligence laboratories.
The funding expands a $50 billion compute agreement with Anthropic, which selected the company to lead the infrastructure rollout. Fluidstack targets building data center sites in months rather than years to meet grid demand, as the US added a record 18 GW last year but requires approximately 100 GW by 2028.

@trace_cohen$830M Series A 🤯
@jimcox25A very overdue announcement - we raised $830M in December at a $7.5bn valuation from Situational Awareness. The US must add hundreds of gigawatts of compute in the coming years in order to ensure that domestic AI labs continue to win. This
