Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev regained control of his X account after hackers hijacked it to promote a fake meme coin that generated approximately $1.2 million to $1.3 million in proceeds.
The unauthorized posts promoted a purported token called Vladhood, prompting Robinhood to flag the contract address on its blockchain explorer as a potential scam and confirm the company had not issued any tokens. The firm worked with X to restore access to the account, and the promotional post was subsequently deleted.
