Magnolia Oil & Gas has agreed to acquire WildFire Energy in a $4.06 billion deal that includes assumed debt.
The transaction will expand Magnolia’s operations in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations of the South Texas shale basin, adding 810,000 net acres and 53,000 boed to the company’s portfolio.
