Taiwan’s June Export Orders Surge to Record $95.26 Billion, Beating Forecasts on AI Demand
Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs reported that June export orders surged 59.4% year-on-year to a record $95.26 billion, surpassing the forecasted 47.3% growth rate as robust global demand for artificial intelligence hardware accelerated.
The expansion was led by electronics goods orders, which jumped 79.9% to $40.5 billion, while IT and communications products rose 81.9% to $34.15 billion. Trade with the United States led all nations with an 83.6% increase to $38.66 billion, pushing the first-half 2026 total to a record $504.1 billion.
