RTX beat second-quarter revenue and earnings estimates, reporting $24.7 billion in sales and adjusted earnings of $1.89 a share, and raised its full-year 2026 guidance. The aerospace and defense manufacturer lifted its adjusted sales forecast to between $95 billion and $96 billion, and projected adjusted earnings between $7.10 and $7.25 a share.

A backlog of $289 billion, up 22 percent year over year, underpinned the upgrade as the company noted robust demand and double-digit growth in commercial aftermarket and defense businesses. Free cash flow reached $2.9 billion, lifting the full-year free cash flow projection to $8.5 billion to $8.75 billion. Revenue growth across the company’s segment business units ranged from 8 percent to 18 percent year over year.
