OpenAI Brings Codex Into ChatGPT, Merges Codex App Into New Desktop App
OpenAI said Codex is now available inside ChatGPT and that the Codex app is starting to merge with the new ChatGPT desktop app. Thomas Sottiaux also said rate limits across ChatGPT Work and Codex will be reset twice over the next 24 hours to mark the GPT-5.6 Sol launch.
Another post said the new ChatGPT Work includes a faster Computer Use experience with picture-in-picture. A separate message said another reset was coming across plans and urged users to try GPT-5.6 Sol's ultra and max modes.
