MasTec Buys The Superior Group in $1.65 Billion Deal to Expand Data Center Infrastructure
MasTec has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire electrical contractor The Superior Group in a $1.65 billion transaction. The purchase price consists of approximately $1.175 billion in cash and roughly $475 million in MasTec common stock, subject to customary purchase price adjustments.
MasTec plans to integrate the acquired business as a new operating group within its Power Delivery segment to expand capacity for data centers and critical power infrastructure. The Superior Group is projected to generate between $1.6 billion and $1.7 billion in revenue and $225 million to $250 million in Adjusted EBITDA for full-year 2026. MasTec stated the acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to revenue and earnings metrics.
