Amazon Web Services announced a $5 billion investment to establish a new cloud region featuring multiple data centers in the Philippines.
The 15-year expansion will increase cloud processing capacity across Southeast Asia and create local jobs. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. met with AWS executives to discuss the infrastructure development earlier this week.
