Federal Court Dismisses Lawsuit Challenging 2020 Census Data and Florida's Electoral Vote
A federal three-judge court dismissed a lawsuit seeking to invalidate the 2020 Census and order a nationwide recount, rejecting claims that statistical imputation unlawfully cost Florida a U.S. House seat and an Electoral College vote.
The ruling cited lack of standing, a delayed filing and impractical requested relief. Because the decision came from a three-judge district panel, the plaintiffs can appeal directly to the Supreme Court, which must hear the case.
