Vinod Khosla Buys Seattle Seahawks for Record $9.612 Billion in NFL Deal
A group led by San Francisco 49ers limited partner Vinod Khosla has agreed to purchase the Seattle Seahawks for $9.612 billion, setting a new record price for an NFL franchise.
The sale price exceeds the Washington Commanders transaction in July 2023 by more than 50%. The acquisition features Neal Khosla as a partner. The senior Khosla co-founded Sun Microsystems, which Oracle acquired for $8 billion, and his venture firm was the first to invest in OpenAI alongside early stakes in Square, DoorDash and Instacart.
