TotalEnergies Offers Millions of Barrels of Iraq's Basrah Crude to Asia
Asian buyers are being offered millions of barrels of Iraq's Basrah Medium and Basrah Heavy crude for prompt delivery this month and next by TotalEnergies, traders who received the offers told Bloomberg on Friday, in a sign shipping through the Strait of Hormuz is stabilizing.
Exports out of Kuwait and southern Iraq are no longer at zero, tanker tracking indicated, though flows remain slow. Rising Gulf shipments are adding to expectations of a global oil surplus, with more spot crude being marketed into Asia.
