US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record $222 Million Inflow After 10-Day Outflow Streak
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $222 million in net inflows on July 2, marking the largest single-day influx since May 5 and snapping a 10-day streak of redemptions. The reversal, confirmed by SoSoValue data, indicates a temporary stabilization in institutional demand following an extended period of withdrawals across the crypto exchange-traded products.
Ethereum spot ETFs also saw inflows of $29.08 million, ending a separate nine-day outflow streak. The July inflows cap a challenging period for crypto ETFs, as June ended with approximately $4.5 billion in net outflows, the worst monthly performance since the funds launched in January 2024. The sustained selling pressure coincided with Bitcoin trading near its lowest levels since 2022, weighed down by rising U.S. Treasury yields, a stronger dollar, and potential equity issuance from Bitcoin's largest corporate holder, Strategy.
