US Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record Nearly $4 Billion in June Outflows
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds have recorded nearly $4 billion in outflows during June, marking their worst monthly redemptions since the products launched. For the week ending June 26, the ETFs saw net withdrawals of $1.79 billion, extending a streak of seven consecutive weeks of net redemptions and marking the third-largest weekly outflow on record.
The selling pressure extended across major digital asset funds, with spot Ethereum ETFs posting $273 million in outflows for the same period and extending their losing streak to seven straight weeks. The heavy redemptions follow months of price volatility, with average investors in flagship products like BlackRock’s IBIT down roughly 40% from recent peaks. Meanwhile, alternative crypto funds saw minor inflows, with spot XRP and HYPE ETFs recording net purchases of $22.99 million and $111 million, respectively.
