Paris-based digital health insurer Alan raised €480 million in a funding round led by Prosus, valuing the startup at €5.5 billion, the Financial Times reported. The capital is designated to fund Alan’s international expansion beyond France. The financing marks Europe’s largest non-AI startup funding deal so far this year.

The 10-year-old company provides digital health insurance primarily to corporate customers and currently serves 1.1 million members. While AI tools power much of its operational platform, the majority of Alan’s revenue derives from insurance premiums. The startup is on track to exceed €1 billion in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026, following €800 million in the first quarter, representing a 53% year-over-year increase. Existing investors, including Index Ventures and Teachers’ Venture Growth, also participated in the latest round.
