Nvidia Launches Halos Full-Stack Safety System for Robots, With 40 Companies in Lab Program
Nvidia launched Halos for Robotics, a full-stack safety system for robots and other AI-powered machines that operate in the physical world. The platform combines IGX Thor hardware, the Holoscan Sensor Bridge, Halos OS, external-camera monitoring and an AI systems inspection lab, using technology adapted from Nvidia’s autonomous vehicle work to improve environmental awareness and split-second decision-making around people.
Agility Robotics is the first company integrating parts of Halos into the safety architecture of Digit, its humanoid robot used in logistics, manufacturing and warehouse settings. More than 40 companies are participating in the lab program tied to the system.
