Venezuela's oil exports reached 1.25 million barrels a day in May, the highest level in seven years and 61% above a year earlier, as the US eased operating restrictions and international firms returned.
The increase suggests Venezuela's oil recovery is gaining pace as overseas producers re-engage with the market. Output could reach 1.5 million barrels a day by 2027 if the rebound continues.
