Indonesia Expands Corruption Probe Into Foundations in Prabowo’s $15 Billion Free-Meals Program
Indonesia expanded a corruption probe into foundations involved in the nationwide rollout of kitchens for President Prabowo Subianto’s flagship $15 billion free-meals program. Free meals will be halted during the school break and the program’s scope scaled back.
The Free Nutritious Meals program is set to continue despite the scrutiny. Muhammad Qodari, head of presidential communications, said the initiative is part of Prabowo’s core political mandate and cannot simply be stopped.
