SK Hynix Targets July Nasdaq ADR Listing to Raise Up to $26.5 Billion, Buy Back 2% of Shares

businessstocksrumors 5 posts · 3 accounts

SK Hynix is expected to pursue a Nasdaq listing of American depositary receipts, or ADRs, in July, in a deal that could raise about 40 trillion won ($26.5 billion), according to Korean media reports. The company has reportedly reduced the offering size from 2.4% of outstanding shares to the low-2% range and plans to buy back shares equal to roughly 2% of its stock.

The buyback would form part of a broader shareholder return program worth about $66.4 billion that is expected to be announced after the listing. The measures are intended to ease dilution concerns tied to the new-share issuance, and earlier reports said the ADR process was in its final stages with only US Securities and Exchange Commission approval remaining.
