Strategy's Bitcoin and Cash Exceed Debt by About $48 Billion, Saylor Says
Michael Saylor said on Friday that Strategy's Bitcoin holdings and cash reserves now exceed its debt by about $48 billion, a reversal from late 2022 when debt was about $300 million greater than the combined value of its Bitcoin and cash. He said Strategy has raised more than $60 billion of additional capital since then and used it to buy more than 716,000 Bitcoin.
Strategy held 130,000 Bitcoin worth about $2.6 billion in October 2022, when the token traded near $20,000, Saylor said. Weeks later, after Bitcoin fell below $16,000, the company's shares slid into the $13 range by year-end from about $24 on a split-adjusted basis.

@saylorWhen I gave this speech in October 2022, Bitcoin traded near $20,000, Strategy held 130,000 BTC worth about $2.6 billion, and $MSTR was ~$24 split-adjusted. Weeks later, after Bitcoin fell below $16,000, our debt exceeded the combined value
@coindeskINSIGHT: Michael @Saylor reflects on @Strategy's darkest moment. When debt exceeded $BTC and cash reserves by $300M in late 2022, and the $60B capital raise since then that added 716,000 $BTC, leaving reserves exceeding debt by $48B today.
@cointelegraph🔥 INSIGHT: Saylor says that Strategy turned a $300M deficit in 2022 into a $48B surplus by doubling down on Bitcoin.
