Anthropic Releases Claude Fable 5, Public Version of Mythos, at $10/$50
Anthropic on Tuesday released Claude Fable 5, a public Mythos-class model for general use, pricing it at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens. The company said Fable 5 is available everywhere starting today, while Claude Mythos 5 — the same underlying model with some safeguards lifted — is limited to Glasswing partners and a small group of cyber defenders and critical infrastructure providers.
Anthropic said Fable 5 exceeds any model it has previously made generally available and is state-of-the-art on nearly all tested benchmarks. To limit misuse, the public version detects requests related to cybersecurity, biology, chemistry and distillation and routes a narrow set of queries to Opus 4.8 instead, with users notified when that fallback happens; Anthropic said such fallbacks occur in less than 5% of sessions on average. The company said it plans to widen access to Mythos 5 through a broader trusted access program for defensive cybersecurity work and biomedical research.

@hosseebHoly shit. Mythos just dropped (commercially restricted release called Fable), and these benchmarks are making every other lab look like amateurs. Really feels like it's Anthropic's world and we're all just living in it. Can't wait to see
