Skydiving Plane Crash in Butler, Missouri Kills 11 Skydivers and Pilot
Eleven skydivers and a pilot died when a private plane crashed shortly after departing Butler Memorial Airport in Butler, Missouri, at about 11:35 a.m. local time, according to aircraft operator Skydive Kansas City and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The Federal Aviation Administration identified the aircraft as a Pacific Aerospace P750 and said it was not providing air traffic control services at the time of the accident. The National Transportation Safety Board will lead the investigation as officials work to determine the cause.
