Oppenheimer Initiates SpaceX at Outperform With $190 Target, Implies $2.5 Trillion Valuation
Oppenheimer initiated coverage of SpaceX stock with an Outperform rating and a $190 price target, a level the firm said would imply a market capitalization of about $2.5 trillion. The brokerage argued SpaceX can use its engineering, manufacturing and space-technology capabilities to grow into a much larger communications, cloud and AI company.
Oppenheimer said SpaceX’s reusable-rocket leadership, Starlink network, satellites, solar panels, chips and manufacturing scale create high barriers to entry and position it to become the world’s largest communications and AI company. The firm also warned of extreme stock and operational volatility, saying complex engineering, manufacturing and physics challenges could cause the company to fall behind schedule.
