Nvidia Clinches South Korea AI Deals, Led by Multiyear SK Hynix Memory Pact

Nvidia announced a series of South Korea deals during Jensen Huang's Seoul visit, anchored by a multiyear partnership with SK Hynix to co-develop next-generation memory for Vera Rubin AI supercomputers, Vera CPUs, RTX Spark PCs and Jetson Thor robotics platforms. Naver will use Nvidia technology to build data centers and gigawatt-scale AI factories, while Huang said the company is also working with LG on humanoid robots, an AI factory and future data-center architectures.

The agreements broaden Nvidia's reach across memory, cloud infrastructure, data centers and robotics, helping it secure crucial memory chips for its AI ambitions while adding customers. Huang has said shortages from wafers and packaging to silicon photonics and cable connectors could last for several years. Separately, Samsung chip chief Jun Young-hyun met Huang in Seoul to discuss next-generation semiconductor cooperation, including HBM4, HBM4E, HBM5 and foundry operations.
