Nvidia Collapses Segment Reporting to 2 Segments, Recasts Datacenter Revenue by Customer Type

Nvidia changed its segment reporting this quarter, reducing its revenue disclosure to two segments — Datacenter and Edge Computing — and shifting the Datacenter breakdown from product categories to customer types. Datacenter revenue is now presented as sales to hyperscalers versus neoclouds.
The change means Nvidia no longer separately shows how much Datacenter revenue came from GPUs versus networking. That replaces a product-based view of the business with a customer-based one.
