South Korean Police Book Bithumb CEO Lee Jae-won in Lawmaker’s Son Hiring Bribery Probe

Seoul police have booked Bithumb Chief Executive Officer Lee Jae-won as a bribery suspect over allegations that he helped secure a job at the crypto exchange for the son of independent lawmaker Kim Byung-kee, according to Yonhap.

Investigators are also examining whether Kim engaged in parliamentary activities benefiting Bithumb in return. The case involving South Korea’s second-largest crypto exchange remains under investigation.
