Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Buying With $101 Million Purchase, Holdings Rise to 845,256 BTC
Strategy said it acquired 1,550 Bitcoin for about $101 million between June 1 and June 7 at an average price of $65,332, lifting its holdings to 845,256 BTC. The purchase resumes buying after a 32-BTC sale disclosed last week, the company’s first Bitcoin sale in four years.
Strategy had said the earlier sale was intended to help fund preferred stock distributions, and Chief Executive Officer Phong Le said its objective remains to increase net Bitcoin and Bitcoin per share over time. The company also said it increased its USD reserve by $100 million to $1 billion.
