Canton Network Developer Digital Asset Raises $355 Million at $2 Billion Valuation
Digital Asset, the developer of the privacy-focused blockchain Canton Network, raised $355 million in a funding round led by a16z crypto that valued the company at $2 billion. Participants included subsidiaries of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Apollo Funds, BNP Paribas, Citadel Securities, CME Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, HSBC, S&P Global and SBI Group.
Digital Asset said the new capital will be used to accelerate strategic partnerships, pursue mergers and acquisitions, and support partners in building on-chain businesses.
