BlackRock Files Nasdaq Listing for Bitcoin Premium Income ETF Ahead of Expected Next-Week Debut

cryptocrypto-markets 9 posts · 7 accounts

BlackRock filed to list its iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF on Nasdaq, the latest step toward bringing the fund to market and one that points to a debut as soon as next week. The listing follows a Form 8-A filing earlier this week, a regulatory step that often comes shortly before trading begins.

The fund, ticker BITA, is designed to generate yield from Bitcoin through a covered-call strategy. A prior amendment disclosed a 65-basis-point fee, lower than the 95-basis-point and 99-basis-point charges on the two largest covered-call ETFs, and BlackRock has been racing to launch before Goldman, which has been targeting around July 1.
