Marvell Closes Up 33%, Hits Record High After Nvidia’s Huang Calls It ‘the Next Trillion-Dollar Company’
Marvell Technology shares closed up 33%, their best day since 2000, after Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang called the chipmaker “the next trillion-dollar company” during Marvell CEO Matt Murphy’s keynote at Computex in Taipei. Marvell, which designs networking and connectivity chips that link thousands of GPUs inside AI data centers, touched a record high during the session.
The comments highlighted networking as a central constraint in the AI buildout. Huang also said Nvidia and Marvell are strengthening their partnership to expand networking and connectivity for AI data centers. A day earlier, Marvell introduced the Teralynx T100, which it described as the industry’s first 102.4-terabit-per-second switch silicon purpose-built for AI, designed to reduce power use and latency, with customer sampling starting this quarter.
