SK Hynix told investors this week that its plan to list in the US has won strong backing, according to a person familiar with the matter, and some sources have said the offering could raise as much as $14 billion. The South Korean chipmaker has confidentially filed for a US listing this year.

The company, a major Nvidia supplier whose market value topped $1 trillion last week, said it is in price negotiations with customers for next-generation HBM and expects the favorable pricing environment to continue into next year. It also said demand for LPDDR memory used in Nvidia’s Vera Rubin platform is growing strongly and could tighten memory supply-demand conditions from 2027, though it added it cannot say with certainty that it will fully meet all demand.
