Spot Bitcoin ETF Outflows Reach $4.4 Billion in 13 Trading Days, Turn YTD Flows Negative Again
Spot Bitcoin ETFs extended their outflow streak to 13 trading days, with withdrawals of about $4.4 billion, pushing year-to-date flows negative again as Bitcoin fell to a nearly four-month low of $61,311 before rebounding to around $62,580. The weakness spread to crypto-linked equities, with Bit Digital down 4%, Hut 8 off 4.9%, Riot Platforms down 2.7%, MARA Holdings off 2.2% and Coinbase slipping 0.4%, while ProShares Bitcoin Strategy and iShares Bitcoin Trust each fell 2.6%.
The withdrawals added to a rout that had already triggered about $1.8 billion of leveraged crypto liquidations and sent Ether to about $1,717.5 after Bitcoin broke below $62,000 overnight. Geopolitical tensions have compounded the pressure, though spot Bitcoin ETFs still show roughly $55 billion of lifetime net inflows even after 17 of the last 19 trading days posted withdrawals totaling almost $5.6 billion.
