Google Cloud Launches AI Threat Defense With Wiz, Gemini to Scan, Patch Vulnerabilities
Google Cloud launched Google AI Threat Defense, an AI-powered cybersecurity service that it said is designed to continuously monitor systems and help stop AI-powered threats before they affect businesses. The offering combines Wiz, Gemini and other AI models, CodeMender and autonomous security agents to prioritize risk, scan applications, identify vulnerabilities and accelerate fixes.
Google described the product as a four-step framework in which Wiz ranks the highest-risk applications and systems, Gemini and other AI models perform continual deep scans, CodeMender verifies and speeds patching, and autonomous agents test systems for previously unknown vulnerabilities. The company said it is using multiple models because no single model identifies every flaw.
