Zelenskiy Asks Trump for Air-Defense Munitions in Letter Citing Critical Shortages
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has formally asked President Trump for air-defense munitions in a letter seen by AFP, warning of critical shortages in Ukraine’s missile-defense capabilities.
The appeal adds urgency to Kyiv’s requests to Washington after Zelenskiy said on May 25 that talks with the US on expanding production of anti-missile defenses had made little progress. He said Europe was helping financially, but US leadership and results were still needed.
